URGENT UPDATE: Television icon Lorraine Kelly is set to host a live broadcast of the STV Children’s Appeal Show on November 7, 2025, at 7 PM from the STV headquarters in Glasgow. This special event will spotlight the vital fundraising efforts of the charity throughout the year, celebrating the impact it has made in supporting children and families in need across Scotland.
The upcoming show will feature inspiring stories from beneficiaries and supporters of the Appeal, including a performance by chart-topping artist Nathan Evans. Lorraine, a trustee since the charity’s inception, expressed her excitement, stating, “This year will be extra special, as I’m heading to Scotland to present the Appeal Show live from STV HQ.” She highlighted the difference the STV Children’s Appeal makes in the lives of families, emphasizing the importance of viewer donations.
Viewers can anticipate an engaging program that showcases three key projects funded this year: Dundee Bairns, which aids children living in poverty in Dundee; TCCL, providing support to families with children suffering from cancer or leukemia in Tayside and north-east Fife; and the Happy Place Workshop, an initiative established by Glasgow duo SAINT PHNX that uses art and music to help children express their emotions.
The STV Children’s Appeal, supported by the Scottish Government and various businesses, has raised over £37 million since its launch in 2011. The Scottish Government has committed up to £1 million in match funding annually. First Minister John Swinney will also appear on the program to recognize the essential work of the projects.
All donations made during the show will remain in Scotland, ensuring that 100% goes directly to those in need, thanks to the administrative support provided by STV and contributions from The Wood Foundation, which has donated over £1.8 million since joining the Appeal.
