The road section connecting Slijepački Most to Berane has been completed, spanning a total length of 35 km. Irfan Alomerović, an engineer with the construction company Bemax, announced that this section faced significant challenges but was finished within the planned timeframe.
Alomerović outlined the extensive work that was undertaken, which included a complete reconstruction of the road structure, the renovation of a tunnel, and the repair of seven bridges. The project also involved drainage regulation and stabilization of landslide areas and slopes. He emphasized that despite the challenging terrain and the short timeline, the team successfully navigated additional work and heavy traffic to meet their goals.
“Today, we have a modern highway that complies with all standards and regulations,” Alomerović stated, expressing satisfaction with the project’s outcome. His comments highlight the meticulous efforts of the team to ensure the road meets contemporary requirements.
In his remarks, Alomerović extended gratitude to the investors, supervisors, subcontractors, and all participants involved in the project. He acknowledged their collective efforts in achieving this milestone, which he described as a successfully completed venture.
Additionally, he thanked the local residents for their understanding and support throughout the construction period. “Their patience was invaluable,” Alomerović concluded, noting the importance of community cooperation in infrastructure projects.
The completion of this road section is expected to enhance connectivity in the region, facilitating transportation and promoting economic growth. The improved road infrastructure aligns with ongoing development initiatives aimed at modernizing transportation networks across the country.
