Bannatyne Health Club Drives Holiday Giving Through Mission Christmas

Bannatyne Health Club Livingston has taken significant steps to spread holiday joy by serving as a donation point for the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal. This initiative aims to provide gifts for children who might otherwise wake up without presents on Christmas morning. Over the past month, club members and local residents have contributed by dropping off toys and gifts at the club located on Charlesfield Road. These donations support families in Livingston and the broader West Lothian area who are facing financial difficulties due to the rising cost of living.

The Mission Christmas campaign emphasizes the importance of ensuring “Christmas for every child,” addressing the tough decisions many families must make between heating their homes and purchasing food during the festive season. Duncan Bannatyne, Chief Executive and Chairman of the Bannatyne Group, expressed his gratitude for the community’s involvement. “Mission Christmas is a campaign that makes a real difference to children and families who need support at what should be a magical time of year,” he stated.

He continued, “The generosity shown by our members and the local Livingston community has been humbling, and we are proud to have played our part.” This initiative not only highlights the spirit of giving but also demonstrates the positive impact local businesses can have on their communities during challenging times.

In appreciation of the donations, the Livingston club offered a complimentary guest pass for members to share with friends or family, further encouraging community engagement. Bannatyne Health Club Livingston was one of eight clubs in Scotland participating as official drop-off locations for the Cash for Kids initiative.

As the holiday season approaches, the efforts of Bannatyne Health Club Livingston serve as a reminder of the power of community and the difference that collective effort can make in the lives of those who are less fortunate.
