Welsh Harpists Inspire Students at Cambrian Workshop

On February 21, 2024, the Cambrian Harp School hosted a workshop that brought together acclaimed Welsh harpists Robin Huw Bowen and Gareth Swindail Parry, along with students of various ages. The event, held at the school’s studio and online, provided participants with the opportunity to learn the piece “Afon Gwy – The Wye River” from harpist Carwyn Tywyn.

Upcoming Festival and Concerts

The workshop precedes the Cambrian Harp Festival, scheduled for May 15 and 16, which will feature the talented Irish harpist Luke Webb. The festival’s opening concert on May 15 is set to showcase remarkable performances by students from the harp school, who will be supported by the Llanrhystud Chorale.

In addition to the concert, the festival will include various workshops and a grand gala concert on May 16, offering an enriching experience for attendees.

Special Performances and Events

As a highlight of the school’s activities, Cambrian Harps will also perform on St David’s Day, March 1, at the Falcondale Hotel in Lampeter. This event promises an extra special Sunday lunch, combining fine dining with delightful harp music.
