A$AP Rocky is apparently planning to respond to Drake’s criticisms on his upcoming album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’.
During his recent runway appearance for his AWGE collection at Paris Fashion Week, the rapper revealed ‘Don’t Be Dumb’. Rocky revealed the album’s title and previews some tunes, as well as the release date, which is August 30 – pre-order/pre-save here.
DJ Kast One has informed Hot 97 that Rocky is preparing to respond to Drake’s attack on ‘Don’t Be Dumb’. Drake previously targeted Rocky in the song ‘Family Matters,’ which was one of numerous clashes mostly between the Canadian and Kendrick Lamar.
The DJ told host Ebro, “I heard A$AP Rocky obviously addressing a lot of the major issues that are going out here right now. Let’s just say that the list continues to grow.
After Ebro specifically questioned Kast One if “Rocky is still on Drake’s list,” Kast One responded, “He’s gonna be cemented on the list after tonight.”
Though the two had previously worked together on Rocky’s song ‘F**KIN’ PROBLEMS,’ Rocky began his own mini-feud with Drake following the release of ‘Push Ups’.
Rocky recorded his own guest verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Show of Hands’, during which he referenced Drake’s child’s mother, Sophie Brussaux, saying, “N**gas in they feels over ladies, what, you wounded or something.” I smashed it before you gave birth, son; Flacko whacked it first.”
Drake responded on ‘Family Matters’, alluding to his prior connection with Rocky’s current partner Rihanna, rapping, “Rakim talkin’ sh*t again.” “Gassed ‘cuz you hit my BM first, n**ga, do the arithmetic. Who was I hittin’ then?”
