BREAKING: A 53-year-old woman has been banned from driving for 30 months after crashing her Range Rover while over three times the legal alcohol limit. Andrea Williams from Hemlington, North Yorkshire, veered off the road and smashed into bushes on A1044 Low Lane near Jack Simon Way, shortly after 9 AM on September 9. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Authorities confirm that Williams admitted to operating her vehicle after consuming excessive alcohol, registering a staggering 283 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood, well above the legal limit of 80 milligrams. She pleaded guilty to the charge at a previous hearing at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on October 22.
In a swift response, District Judge Steven Hood imposed a four-month curfew on Williams, effective from 7 PM to 7 AM, following her guilty plea. In addition to her driving ban, Williams is required to pay £199 in court costs.
