Urgent Appeals as Two Vulnerable People Go Missing in London

UPDATE: Metropolitan Police have issued urgent appeals for information regarding two vulnerable individuals who went missing in separate incidents across London. Authorities are particularly concerned for the welfare of Ramel, a 22-year-old man with autism, who has been missing since 12:10 AM last night from his home in Sutton.

Ramel’s family is extremely worried, describing his disappearance as out of character. He is approximately 5ft 10in tall, of slim build, with short black afro hair, and was last seen wearing a green pyjama top. Police stress that due to his ability to navigate around London, he may be far from home.

“We are very worried, he has not been missing this long before. We just want him home,” said Ramel’s mother.

Detective Inspector Anselm Hartley, leading the investigation, emphasized the urgency of the situation: “Ramel is extremely vulnerable, and we are increasingly concerned for his welfare. Last night was very cold, and temperatures are expected to drop again tonight. It is crucial that we find him quickly.”

If you have seen Ramel or have any information, contact the police immediately by calling 101 and quoting CAD 259/1Jan.

In a separate case, Memuna, a 65-year-old woman, was reported missing from Isleworth after last being seen on December 30, 2023, at around 10:30 AM. She is described as 5ft tall with short white hair, and was last seen wearing a pink cap, a multi-coloured jacket, green trousers, and red shoes while carrying a black handbag.

Memuna is considered vulnerable and requires daily medication. Without it, her health may deteriorate. Detective Sergeant Gary Walker from the Missing Persons Unit stated, “We are increasingly concerned for Memuna’s safety and urge anyone who has seen her or knows where she might be to contact us immediately.”

Anyone with information on Memuna’s whereabouts should call 999 and quote CAD 6334/30Dec25.

These appeals follow another concerning incident where a woman in her 20s left a hospital in Romford shortly after giving birth on December 30, 2023, around 5 PM. The newborn remains in good health at the hospital. Authorities are treating this case with urgency, as the woman is also described as vulnerable.

“This woman has just given birth and is extremely vulnerable. It is not a criminal investigation; we need to locate her to ensure she is okay,” said Detective Inspector Neil Godwin.

Anyone with information about the woman who left the hospital is asked to call 101, quoting CAD 3892/30Dec.

The police have confirmed that all three cases are being treated as separate incidents. The urgency of these appeals is heightened given the freezing temperatures expected tonight, further complicating the safety of these vulnerable individuals.
