Urgent: Air Quality Data Transmission Halted in Pljevlja

UPDATE: Data transmission from the air quality monitoring station at Gagovića Imanje in Pljevlja has been halted since December 10, 2023, at 1:00 PM. Officials from the Agency for Environmental Protection confirmed the disruption earlier today, prompting urgent action to identify the cause.

The Center for Ecotoxicological Testing and Research (CETI) immediately responded to the incident. Specialists determined that all measuring equipment and instruments are functioning normally, with stable electrical power supply. The issue has been traced to a disruption in the internet connection, specifically an insufficient signal flow that prevents the transmission of collected data to the central server.

Despite attempts to reset the data transmission system, connectivity has yet to be restored. A spokesperson stated,

“All measurement data is continuously collected and securely stored in the station’s internal memory (data logger). Once regular internet connectivity is established, all stored data will be transmitted to the server and made available to the public.”

Authorities are currently working with the internet service provider to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. The urgency of restoring data transmission is vital for public health, as air quality data is essential for monitoring environmental conditions in the region.

As developments unfold, residents and stakeholders in Pljevlja are urged to stay informed. The situation remains critical, and updates will be provided as soon as the connectivity issue is resolved.
