Seven Men Warn ‘Brothers’ After Dramatic Police Incident in Sydney

UPDATE: Seven men detained during a dramatic police operation in Sydney have issued a stark warning to their community, urging compliance with law enforcement after their release without charges. The group, known as the Liverpool Seven, was intercepted by armed police under the belief they were linked to potential violence at Bondi Beach.

The incident unfolded last week when tactical officers surrounded two vehicles the men were driving, acting on intelligence that indicated a “violent act” was planned. However, after a night in custody, the men were released on December 22, 2025, with no charges filed against them.

In a powerful message shared on social media, friend Farid Nagi urged others to remain calm in similar situations. “We all know what took place but the brothers just want to send a strong message: comply with law enforcement,” he stated in a TikTok video. “Don’t resist arrest. Just let them do their business.”

The release followed alarming scenes that showed police aggressively detaining the group, with tactical officers patting them down on the ground. Disturbing footage captured police vehicles colliding with the men’s car, leaving some visibly shaken and disheveled.

Mr. Nagi emphasized that the group faced racial profiling, asserting, “We didn’t do anything wrong. It was racism, what else could it be?” He confirmed that the men plan to seek compensation for their ordeal, expressing gratitude to supporters in Sydney who stood by them.

The NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon confirmed there was no connection between the Liverpool Seven and the recent Bondi Beach terror attack that claimed 15 lives. “The information received was that Bondi may have been one of a number of locations that the males were intending to attend, but the reason for attending is unknown,” he said during a press conference.

Despite the incident being deemed a false alarm, the group remains deeply affected by their experience. They are now returning to Melbourne and have called for vigilance in the community, as tensions rise in the wake of recent events.

As they prepare to leave Sydney, one member expressed heartfelt thanks to those who supported them. “The brotherhood we experienced in Sydney, we will never forget it,” he said.
