Scots Invited to Work at Trump Turnberry During Hiring Fair

Job seekers in Scotland have an opportunity to work at the luxury golf resort owned by Donald Trump. The five-star Trump Turnberry, located near Girvan in Ayrshire, is hosting an employment fair on February 18, from 10:00 to 18:00. The event aims to attract applicants for various positions within the resort.

Interested individuals will receive support for completing applications and will be offered guided tours of the hotel, accompanied by light refreshments. To facilitate attendance, shuttle buses will run from key locations throughout Ayrshire, including Ayr and Maybole train stations, as well as the Queens Hotel in Girvan.

A spokesperson for Trump Turnberry highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “A wee reminder that our Annual Recruitment Day is coming up on Wednesday, the 18th of February, from 10:00 – 18:00. Come along and discover incredible career opportunities at Trump Turnberry. You will meet our team, receive application support, and enjoy a guided hotel tour and light refreshments prepared by our excellent Chefs.”

The Trump Turnberry resort features not only a luxury hotel but also three links golf courses, as well as lodge and cottage accommodations. Trump acquired the property in 2014, although he resigned from his directorship shortly before his inauguration as President of the United States in 2017.

The resort has previously faced challenges, including vandalism incidents last year attributed to Palestine Action activists. A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with malicious mischief after red paint and slogans were found on the buildings, and parts of the golf course were damaged.

In addition to Trump Turnberry, the former president owns the Trump International golf course in Aberdeenshire. Trump played rounds at both courses during a five-day visit to Scotland in July 2022, emphasizing his continued involvement in the Scottish golf scene.

As the hiring fair approaches, many in the local community are eager to explore employment opportunities at one of Scotland’s most prestigious golf resorts.
