URGENT UPDATE: North Wales Police (NWP) have executed a dramatic double drug bust in Gwynedd, smashing down doors with Enforcer battering rams as they targeted properties in Pwllheli and Tremadog early Wednesday morning, December 17. This decisive operation is part of NWP’s ongoing commitment to combat the use and supply of controlled substances in the community.
The first raid occurred around 8:00 AM at a residential property on Ffordd Mela in Pwllheli, where Police Sergeant Williams and a specialized team executed a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Warrant. Authorities discovered a quantity of controlled substances, with investigations underway to determine the scale of the operation.
Later that same evening, at approximately 9:30 PM, another team led by Police Sergeant Atkinson targeted a property on Isgraig in Tremadog. Although the primary occupant was absent, officers seized various items linked to drug misuse, which will be subject to further analysis.
Inspector Iwan Jones of the NWP Gwynedd South policing team expressed gratitude towards the community for their vital information, stating,
“Together, we can prevent the harm that controlled substances cause, and I encourage all that live and work in the community to report suspicious behaviour.”
The police emphasize the importance of community vigilance in eradicating drug-related issues.
Residents can report any relevant information through the police hotline at 101, Crimestoppers, or via the NWP’s online reporting service. The police urge the public to remain proactive as they continue their fight against drug misuse in the area.
These raids underscore the urgent actions being taken by law enforcement to protect the community from the dangers of drug trafficking and abuse. As the investigation develops, updates will be provided to the public regarding findings and outcomes.
