URGENT UPDATE: A man and a woman have been arrested following a dramatic drug bust in Dumfries, where police seized illegal substances valued at approximately £13,000. The operation took place around 10:45 PM on November 7, 2025, in the Criffel Drive area.
Officers from Police Scotland executed a search warrant at a residential property, uncovering cocaine with an estimated street value of £12,500 and cannabis worth around £450. Additionally, a four-figure sum of cash was confiscated during the operation.
The arrested individuals, a 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, have been charged in connection with the drug recovery. They are currently released on an undertaking to appear in Dumfries Sheriff Court at a later date.
Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson commented,
“This was a significant recovery and reinforces our commitment to targeting those involved in the supply of harmful substances within our communities.”
He emphasized the ongoing efforts of the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce to disrupt illegal drug activities.
