Angry Ginge Crowned King of the Jungle, Nan Misses Vote

Morgan Burtwistle, known as Angry Ginge, was crowned the King of the Jungle on December 10, 2023, during the finale of the popular reality show, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. The 24-year-old social media star expressed his disbelief at winning, especially since his grandmother was unable to vote for him due to technical difficulties with her phone.

During the emotional crowning moment, Ginge reflected on his unexpected journey through the Australian wilderness. He stated, “Honestly didn’t expect to get anywhere near to the end. To get to the final and win was just amazing.” His victory was met with congratulations from former champion Danny Jones, who remarked on the striking resemblance between Ginge and his best friend. Ginge’s mother added a lighthearted touch to the celebration, revealing, “Nana couldn’t vote as she couldn’t get the app on her phone; she can’t remember her password for iPhone.”

Despite his grandmother’s inability to participate, Ginge captured the hearts of the audience, securing his title without her vote. Following the crowning, he was greeted with a lavish welcome back at the hotel, where he amusingly commented on the size of his limousine, saying, “Bloody hell it’s big!”

As he settled in, Ginge indulged in a full fry-up meal, humorously opting to eat with his hands, stating, “I’ve been in the jungle, I don’t need that!” The camaraderie among the campmates was evident as they gathered for a farewell party, reminiscing about their shared experiences. Fellow contestant Eddie emphasized the bonds formed during their time together, while Vogue expressed that she would cherish her friendships made in the jungle.

In a reflective moment, Ginge described his experience as “tickled pink,” a phrase he learned from fellow contestant Tom. He acknowledged that winning the title felt surreal, stating, “To have grown up watching it…I don’t think it’ll ever sink in that I’m King of the Jungle!”

Fans can look forward to the I’m A Celebrity…Coming Out special, which airs on December 13, 2023, at 21:05 on ITV1. This hour-long program will provide viewers with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and insights into the campmates’ journeys after leaving the jungle.
