Man Arrested for Abducting and Assaulting 11-Year-Old in Plužine

A 42-year-old man, identified as G.A., has been arrested in Plužine on charges of abducting and assaulting an 11-year-old child. According to the police, G.A. allegedly took the minor to his apartment against the child’s will, where he threatened and physically harmed them.

The incident came to light when witnesses reported the situation to the authorities. In response, officers from the Regional Centre for Security “West” apprehended G.A., who is suspected of committing acts of violent behavior and unlawful deprivation of liberty. The police statement indicates that G.A. used physical force to take the child to his residence, where he allegedly continued to threaten them verbally and physically.

After the authorities were alerted, police took immediate action to locate G.A. He was found and brought to the police station, where officials collected his statements. During this process, G.A. underwent an alcohol test, revealing a blood alcohol concentration of 1.85 g/kg.

The minor was transported to receive medical assistance, where doctors confirmed the child sustained minor injuries. The police have since informed the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Nikšić and the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica about the situation. The Basic State Prosecutor has indicated that G.A.’s actions meet the criteria for charges of violent behavior combined with unlawful deprivation of liberty.

G.A. remains in custody and is expected to be formally charged and presented to the prosecutor for further legal proceedings within the legally mandated timeframe. This incident raises serious concerns about child safety and the need for protective measures in the community.
