Bethesda Chapel in Narberth is hosting a series of community-oriented events throughout December 2023. These gatherings aim to foster fellowship and spiritual growth among attendees of all ages, particularly focusing on the needs of the local community.
Weekly Schedule of Activities
The chapel’s schedule kicks off on Thursday, December 11, at 10:00 AM with a Coffee Morning tailored for individuals over the age of 50. This informal gathering takes place in the Schoolroom, providing a welcoming atmosphere for social interaction and companionship.
The following Sunday, December 14, begins with several morning activities. At 10:25 AM, men are invited to participate in a Prayer Meeting located in the Study Room. This is followed by Sunday School at 10:30 AM in the Upper Room, catering to younger attendees. The Morning Service starts at 10:45 AM in the Sanctuary, where participants can enjoy tea, coffee, and cake afterwards in the downstairs area. The evening program features an Evening Service at 5:30 PM in the Sanctuary, concluding with refreshments in the Schoolroom.
Midweek Engagements and Spiritual Growth
On Tuesday, December 16, the chapel continues its community outreach with a busy schedule. Activities commence at 12:00 noon with a Bible study session in the Schoolroom, a popular event that draws participants seeking deeper understanding. Following this, at 1:30 PM, the Listening Post will offer finger food, coffee, and an opportunity for friendly conversations.
The day continues with a catechism study titled “Rooted and Grounded” at 4:45 PM in the Study Room. At 5:30 PM, a Fellowship Meal will be held in the Schoolroom, allowing members to share a meal and build connections. The evening wraps up with a Prayer Meeting at 6:30 PM.
The events are grounded in the scripture from 1 Peter 3:17: “For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.” This verse serves as a reminder of the community’s values and the importance of coming together in faith.
Bethesda Chapel welcomes all interested individuals to participate in these enriching events, fostering a spirit of community and belonging.
