Celebrity Apprentice Viewers React Strongly to Contest Outcome

Celebrity Apprentice fans expressed their frustration after a surprising outcome in the latest episode aired on December 30. The first of two Christmas specials, which supports BBC Children in Need, featured twelve well-known personalities competing in festive challenges in Lapland.

The contestants were divided into two teams. The first group, led by project manager JB Gill, included Tom Skinner, Matt Morsia, Shazia Mirza, Angela Scanlon, and Sarah Hadland. They created a gingerbread biscuit named Gary the Penguin, which combined bubblegum and white pepper flavors. The second team, managed by Rob Rinder, featured Charlie Hedges, AJ Odudu, Jake Wood, Kadeena Cox, and Eddie Kadi. Their entry, Jolly Mc Trouble, was flavored with vanilla and Christmas pudding but suffered from slight overcooking.

The competition intensified in the second installment, where both teams presented their products to a panel of retailers in London. JB’s team employed a humorous advert featuring Tom in a penguin costume, which left their teammates astonished. In contrast, Rob’s team focused on storytelling and a well-crafted advertisement.

Despite their efforts, the unexpected announcement came when Lord Sugar declared JB’s team the winner, having received the most orders for their product. This decision ignited a wave of disbelief and disappointment among viewers. Many took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their opinions, with one viewer questioning, “How did they win with that crap?!” Another added, “Shocked that the Gary The Penguin team won. They had the worst TV advert and their flavors were disgusting.”

Some fans defended the winning team, acknowledging that while their advertisement was lacking, the product itself made more sense. One supporter remarked, “I’m pleased Gary the Penguin won as even though their ad was awful, the product made far more sense.”

As the show continues to garner attention, updates regarding viewer reactions and further developments are expected. The episode has sparked significant discussion, reflecting the passionate engagement of Celebrity Apprentice fans.
