Martin Lewis and his team at MoneySavingExpert.com have provided guidance for customers of the Nationwide Building Society on how to increase their chances of receiving a £100 bonus in 2026. Although the building society has not officially confirmed the bonus for this year, its history of offering this incentive for the past three years suggests there is reason for optimism among account holders.
Eligibility Criteria for the £100 Bonus
In 2025, customers had to be account holders for the first three months of the year to qualify for the bonus. If this requirement remains unchanged, customers must ensure their Nationwide accounts are active and open until at least March 31, 2026. To meet the activity requirement, account holders are expected to make regular deposits.
For those with a FlexAccount, FlexBasic, or FlexDirect current account, this means depositing at least £500 and making two outgoing payments from the account. Alternatively, customers can complete ten transactions without a deposit.
Another option includes performing a full current account switch from another financial institution to Nationwide. This is particularly relevant for customers holding FlexOne, FlexGraduate, or FlexStudent accounts, who need to make at least one payment in or out of their account in March. They can also qualify by switching their account to either FlexOne or FlexStudent before the end of March.
