The podcast presenter, who was the seventh contestant eliminated alongside actress Lisa Riley, admitted to smuggling a burner phone into the jungle. This revelation emerged shortly after the announcement of the I’m A Celebrity 2025 winner, highlighting Osbourne’s audacious trick to bypass the show’s strict communication rules.
Contestants on I’m A Celebrity are prohibited from contacting anyone while preparing to enter the jungle. This restriction aims to maintain fairness by preventing contestants from receiving outside information regarding challenges and trials. Upon arrival, all phones must be surrendered to the production team, according to reports from The Mirror. However, Osbourne managed to circumvent this rule due to flight delays that caused him to arrive late.
In an interview with The Sun, Osbourne shared how he maintained contact with his mother, Sharon Osbourne, and his wife, Aree Osbourne, throughout his stay. He cleverly presented the burner phone as his primary device when producers confiscated his belongings. “I had work to do, I was doing a bunch of s***. I was calling Aree, I was calling my mum, I was calling the kids,” he explained. “I gave them a secondary phone when I landed. I was like: ‘Yeah, there’s my phone.'”
Personal Milestones Amidst Grief
Following his exit from the jungle, Osbourne shared happy news about his family. His wife, Aree, is currently 28 weeks pregnant with their second child. The couple managed to inform Ozzy Osbourne about the pregnancy before his passing in July 2023. Jack expressed how this new chapter has provided him with a sense of healing as he copes with his father’s death.
“It’s awesome,” Osbourne said regarding his wife’s pregnancy. “I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing. Probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way. It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”
The loss of his father has been a significant emotional challenge for Jack. Prior to entering the jungle, he mentioned that keeping himself occupied was a strategy for managing his grief. His reflections highlight the complexity of navigating personal loss while welcoming new life into the family.
