The road segment connecting the Slijepač Bridge to Berane has been successfully completed, marking a significant infrastructure achievement. The total length of this road section is 35 kilometers, and it was finalized within the planned timeframe despite challenging terrain and extensive construction work.
Irfan Alomerović, an engineer with the construction company Bemax, outlined the complexities involved in this project. The work included a complete reconstruction of the roadway structure, tunnel renovations, the rehabilitation of seven bridges, drainage regulation, and the stabilization of landslides and slopes.
Alomerović expressed satisfaction with the project’s timely completion, stating, “Despite the difficult terrain, short timelines, additional works, and the intense traffic conditions, we completed the necessary tasks as scheduled. Today, we have a modern main road that adheres to all standards and regulations.”
He acknowledged the contributions of various stakeholders, thanking investors, supervisors, subcontractors, and all participants in the project for their roles in achieving this milestone. Additionally, he extended gratitude to the local citizens, who showed understanding and support throughout the construction process.
This newly completed road segment is expected to enhance connectivity and improve travel efficiency in the region, reflecting significant investment in infrastructure by the government and private sector. The successful execution of this project underscores the capabilities of Bemax and its commitment to meeting high construction standards.
