Two Arrested in Coventry After Stolen Car Found with Drugs, Weapons

BREAKING NEWS: Police have arrested two men in Coventry following a dramatic incident involving a stolen car, weapons, and suspected narcotics. The arrests occurred on Wednesday, November 19, at a petrol station in the Holbrooks area after officers received reports of suspicious behavior.

Authorities confirmed that upon approaching the two men, officers discovered the vehicle was stolen. A subsequent search revealed a concerning array of items, including suspected class A drugs, a baseball bat, and an imitation firearm. Notably, one of the suspects was already wanted for burglary offences, adding urgency to the situation.

A representative from the Holbrooks neighbourhood police team stated,

“On Wednesday afternoon, officers spotted a vehicle and two persons acting suspiciously at a petrol station. Checks on the vehicle showed it was stolen. Two males were promptly arrested, and a search of the males and vehicle was conducted.”

In the past nine days, there have been three reported vehicle offences, including two thefts from vehicles on Lowe Road and Holbrook Lane, along with one unauthorized taking of a motor vehicle on Lauderdale Avenue. Additionally, two burglary offences were reported, both targeting residential homes on Lowe Road and Penny Park Lane.
