UPDATE: Police in Tunbridge Wells are urgently seeking the public’s help to identify two individuals connected to a violent street assault that left a man with serious head injuries. The attack occurred around 6:55 PM on September 19, shortly after the victim left The Brick Works pub in High Brooms.
According to Kent Police, the victim reported being followed by a group of males while walking along Powder Mill Lane, near the junction with Wilman Road. He was brutally punched in the head, causing him to fall to the ground, where he was then kicked and reportedly cut with a sharp object.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the assault. The victim was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
Police have conducted extensive inquiries, including a thorough review of CCTV and doorbell camera footage, and have identified several witnesses. A police spokesperson confirmed that new phone footage has emerged, showing distinctive clothing and bags worn by two individuals they would like to speak to.
The investigation has shifted focus away from the Cross Keys Pub, which was previously referenced in connection with the case.
