UPDATE: An urgent search is underway for Eugen Comanescu, a 41-year-old man from Surrey, who has been reported missing after traveling to Scotland. His car, a silver Vauxhall Corsa, was discovered in a remote area between Pitagowan and Dalwhinnie on the evening of November 7, 2025.
Authorities are increasingly concerned for Mr. Comanescu’s welfare, as he was last seen around 7:30 AM on November 3 in Surrey. The discovery of his vehicle has prompted extensive searches in the surrounding highland area, involving local police and community members.
“It is unusual for Eugen not to be in contact with his family, and as time passes concerns are growing for his welfare,” said Inspector Susan Cook of Police Scotland.
Mr. Comanescu is described as approximately 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with short dark-blond hair. He may be wearing a dark grey jacket, dark trousers, and dark shoes.
Police Scotland is urging anyone who has seen Mr. Comanescu or has information regarding his whereabouts to reach out. Special attention is being directed to hillwalkers and residents in the local area to remain vigilant and report any sightings.
