Residents of Narberth are invited to participate in a series of remembrance services to honor the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served in military conflicts. The events, organized by the Narberth Benefice, will take place on November 9, 2024, as well as on November 11, 2024, which marks Armistice Day.
The main gathering will occur at 10:45 AM at the Narberth Cenotaph, with additional services at Templeton and Holy Cross Church in Robeston Wathen. A further service is scheduled for 10:50 AM at St Elidyr’s Church in Ludchurch. These acts of remembrance provide an opportunity for the community to reflect on the sacrifices made during the two World Wars and to acknowledge those who continue to serve today.
In addition to the remembrance services, the Narberth Benefice encourages community involvement through various events. A singing group meets on Monday evenings, welcoming anyone who enjoys singing. Interested individuals can reach out to Daphney James or other church members for further details.
The churches within the Narberth, Robeston Wathen, and Minwear areas are open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Monday to Saturday. Both Templeton and Ludchurch Churches are available for visitors every Wednesday during the same hours.
For more information, individuals can contact Rev’d Robert Moore at The Rectory, Adams Drive, Narberth, SA67 7AE. He can be reached by telephone at 01834 861192 or via email at [email protected].
These events serve not only as a reminder of the past but also as a means of fostering community spirit and solidarity. The Narberth Benefice looks forward to welcoming all who wish to pay their respects and participate in these meaningful observances.
