Budva Claims Montenegro Water Polo Championship Title in Podgorica

The Montenegro Water Polo Championship tournament for the “C” category (2012 birth year – cadets) concluded in Podgorica, with Budva BR securing the championship title. After three days of intense competition featuring seven clubs and a total of 15 matches, Budva emerged victorious in both the semifinals and the finals.

In the semifinals, Budva defeated Mladost with a score of 10:7, showcasing their strength and skill. This performance led them to meet Buducnost One in the final, where they continued their winning streak, triumphing with a score of 16:10. This victory marks a significant achievement for the Budva team as they claimed the title for the 2025/26 season.

The bronze medal was awarded to Mladost from Bijela, who secured third place by overcoming Primorac in a closely contested match that ended 7:5. The final standings of the tournament are as follows: 1. Budva BR, 2. Buducnost One, 3. Mladost, 4. Primorac, 5. Aquatic Verde, 6. Jadran M:TEL, and 7. Niksic.

Acknowledgments and Award Ceremony

Medals were presented to the top teams by Andrija Đurašković from the Montenegro Water Polo and Swimming Federation (VPSCG) and Darko Nikčević, the Secretary of the Sports Secretariat of Podgorica. During the ceremony, Nikčević also awarded the championship trophy to the Budva team, celebrating their remarkable achievement in this year’s tournament.
