The Foo Fighters have announced their return to Australia for a series of concerts as part of their global Take Cover Tour. Following a successful one-off performance in Tasmania last month, the iconic rock band will perform seven stadium shows across the country in November 2026.
This tour marks the first time since 2023 that Dave Grohl and the band have toured nationally for their Australian fans. The highly anticipated tour kicks off on November 5, 2026, at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. From there, the band will make stops in Townsville, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, and Adelaide, before wrapping up their Australian leg with a concert at HBF Park in Perth on January 25, 2027.
The band’s schedule in Australia is as follows:
– **Brisbane**: November 5 at Suncorp Stadium
– **Townsville**: November 7 at Queensland Country Bank Stadium
– **Sydney**: November 10 at Accor Stadium
– **Newcastle**: November 12 at McDonald Jones Stadium
– **Melbourne**: November 14 at Marvel Stadium
– **Adelaide**: November 17 at Coopers Stadium
– **Perth**: January 25, 2027 at HBF Park
In addition to their Australian shows, the Foo Fighters will perform two concerts in New Zealand, starting with a show at Orangetheory Stadium in Christchurch on January 19, 2027, followed by their final performance at Western Springs Stadium in Auckland on January 22, 2027.
The Foo Fighters embarked on their global tour in May, beginning with two shows in the United States before heading to Europe, including performances in Norway, Sweden, Poland, France, and the Netherlands. The band will also play in the UK, Italy, Spain, and Canada before returning to the United States for a national tour in August.
To further connect with Australian fans, the Foo Fighters have enlisted Full Flower Moon Band from Brisbane, Belair Lip Bombs from Victoria, and the all-female band The Bouys from Sydney as support acts for their concerts. The band is also looking to feature local talent in each city as additional support.
Pre-sale tickets for the Foo Fighters’ Take Cover Australian Tour will be available for Telstra Plus members starting on February 20, 2026. Following that, Frontier Members can access the pre-sale on February 23, with general ticket sales opening at staggered times from February 25.
The announcement follows a teaser shared in December 2025, which displayed a Foo Fighters billboard in Hobart, Tasmania. Accompanied by the caption, “Give me a reason, show me a sign,” a line from their latest single, “Asking For A Friend,” the post stirred excitement among Australian fans eager for the band’s return.
With the Foo Fighters continuing their legacy of rock excellence, this upcoming tour promises to deliver unforgettable live performances for fans across Australia and New Zealand.
