Detectives have launched an investigation following a disturbing incident in Dudley, where two teenage boys were struck by a car during a robbery. The incident occurred on **January 19, 2024**, at approximately **14:30** on **Pale Street**. The driver of a grey **Volvo** hit one of the boys, who was riding a **Sur-Ron** electric bike, while his friend walked alongside him.
After the collision, the male driver exited the vehicle and stole the damaged bike, which had been severed in the impact. Fortunately, both boys were knocked to the ground but sustained no serious injuries.
West Midlands Police described the suspect as approximately **5ft 10 inches** tall with a slim to medium build. In light of the incident, the police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson for the force stated, “We’re appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed of his electric bike and another assaulted when they were knocked to the floor by a car.”
The spokesperson continued, “A grey Volvo hit the victims, splitting the bike in half, before the man fled the scene with the bike.”
