UPDATE: In a stunning rise to fame, West Derby singer Summer Askew, alongside her band XO, is rapidly becoming a household name, following the release of their debut EP and a sold-out tour. Just announced, the band has captured the attention of music lovers and industry insiders alike, thanks to their infectious energy and unique sound.
The group, which includes members from Essex, London, Liverpool, Derbyshire, and even Hong Kong, signed with the prestigious record label Polydor in February 2023. Their popularity has skyrocketed with early support from BBC Radio 1 and other major outlets, propelling them to the forefront of the UK music scene.
Their EP, titled ‘Fashionably Late’, released on November 14, 2023, boasts a collection of pop hits infused with noughties RnB influences. The standout track, ‘Dead Chat’, showcases the band’s playful personality, featuring a voice note where they hilariously discuss a poor flirtation.
