Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World has announced additional sessions for its popular Father Christmas Experience due to rising demand. The immersive winter attraction, located on a former Christmas tree farm, has become a beloved destination for families seeking festive activities each December.
Visitors to the zoo can participate in seasonal craft activities with elves before navigating the Winter Wonderland to meet Father Christmas. Each child will receive a small gift, and many days feature a singalong and story time with Mrs Claus and the Head Elf. Tickets for the Father Christmas Experience also grant full-day access to the zoo’s animals, dinosaurs, and various attractions.
To accommodate families seeking a quieter experience, Hoo Zoo is introducing calmer sessions that will take place without the singalong element and will feature reduced noise levels. Each session is designed to ensure comfort and accessibility for all, particularly for families with special educational needs (SEN). The zoo’s elf is trained in Makaton, and Father Christmas is qualified to lead specialist sessions for SEN children.
Will Dorrell, owner of Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season: “Christmas at Hoo Zoo is always a special time of year. The zoo is built on a former Christmas tree farm, and this gives the whole site a natural dose of festive magic that can’t be replicated. We are thrilled to bring the Father Christmas Experience back for 2025 and look forward to welcoming families to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere here at the zoo.”
In recent years, Hoo Zoo has gained popularity among families with members who have additional needs. The zoo aims to create magical memories for all visitors, making it a key festive destination.
Tickets for the Father Christmas Experience are available for selected dates, and early booking is highly recommended, as the event often sells out quickly. Families are encouraged to secure their spots to ensure a joyful and memorable holiday experience.
