Morrisons has issued a reminder to its customers about the importance of using their unspent More Card vouchers, collectively valued at nearly £30 million. As the festive season approaches, the major supermarket encourages shoppers to check their loyalty program balances to maximize their savings during the Christmas shopping spree.

The More loyalty scheme allows customers to earn points while shopping, which can be redeemed for discounts on future purchases. When members accumulate 5,000 points, they receive a £5 voucher, known as a More Card Fiver, applicable to their next transaction. With Christmas just weeks away, Morrisons is emphasizing the benefits of checking for any unclaimed vouchers that could ease holiday spending.

Customers can redeem their More Card Fivers in all Morrisons locations across the country and online. Those with a physical More Card will automatically receive a printed £5 voucher at checkout upon reaching the required points threshold. Additionally, points can be converted into vouchers via the More Card app prior to making a purchase. It is important to note that points expire after 12 months, prompting the supermarket’s call for customers to review their balances before the holiday.

Gareth Lloyd, Director of Loyalty at Morrisons, highlighted the financial impact of these vouchers, stating, “With Christmas just around the corner, we know customers will be keeping an eye on their budgets. That’s why we’re reminding our More Card customers to check their More Card Fivers before starting their Christmas shopping this year. To check their balances, customers can log into the More Card app, scan their cards in-store, review their receipts, or visit the Morrisons website. Members of the loyalty program also enjoy personalized offers and can earn points from various partner brands, including ASOS, Travelodge, and Very.com.
